about GRANT AINSLEY

 
Grant Ainsley served as Executive Officer of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association – Alberta from December 1995 to April 2008. He worked with 12 association Presidents and Boards of Directors. During this time, both the association and Alberta’s housing industry went through periods of unprecedented growth. 

Prior to joining the association, Ainsley worked in public relations and the media. Throughout the 1980’s and early 1990’s he was News and Public Affairs Director of 96 K-Lite Radio in Edmonton.  Following his career in the media, he served as the Director of Public Relations in the City of Edmonton’s Public Works Department.

Ainsley also was President and Chair of the Board of Directors of EnerVision, a Calgary-based energy efficiency housing company that he helped found. 

Ainsley was named winner of the Dave Stupart Award as Executive Officer of the Year in the Canadian Home Builders’ Association in 2001. CHBA – Alberta also won awards for Non-Dues Revenue and Communications in 2005 and 2006.

Ainsley is President of the Blackburne Creek Homeowners' Association, was President of the Edmonton Squash League and has volunteered with many other charitable groups.
