Delivering Dynamic Presentations |
One of the most valuable skills for any association leader to have is the ability to speak in public. Both volunteer and staff leaders constantly speak at conferences and meetings, lunches and dinners and a variety of other events. It's essential for them to be able to deliver key messages on behalf of their association.
It's similar in the corporate world where business leaders make presentations to get business and appear before government and other stakeholders. Both need help in getting started. Once they've received the proper guidance, regular practice will make them much better in front of audiences.
For the past 15 years I have worked with association Presidents and other key volunteers and helped them become better speakers. I've also written hundreds of speeches and presentations for everyone from volunteers to politicians.
In half or full-day workshops I provide instruction on:
- Overcoming fears of speaking in public
- Developing the the right speech for the right audience
- Using a number of tips and strategies to improve your presentations
- How to practice what you've learned to keep getting better
I also provide help on making presentations in public, advising on how your slides and PowerPoints can add to your remarks instead of taking away from them.
