Media TrainingAfter spending 15 years in the news media in Edmonton doing jobs ranging from anchor and reporter to assignment editor and news director, Grant Ainsley now works as a trainer with numerous organizations to show their leadership how to properly respond to the news media. He works with the corporate and not-for-profit sectors to explain what the media is looking for and how organizations can shine in the media. His sessions include one-on-one work with leaders in front of the camera, followed by a critique of what they did right, what they did wrong and how they could do it better the next time around.
These training sessions are customized for each group. Participants are interviewed on the topics that the media would be talking to them about. The media training not only leads to achieving more confidence and polish when dealing with the media, but participants also receive some personal development and the sessions are an excellent team building exercise too.
